Las Vistas webcam: live view of Los Cristianos beach

Playa de Las Vistas is the long golden beach between Los Cristianos and Arona, one of the calmest and most sheltered swimming beaches in southern Tenerife thanks to its breakwaters. The camera shows the sand, the bay and the sky, which in practice answers three things at once: is the sun out, is the water flat, and how full is the beach right now.

Why Las Vistas is usually calm

The bay is protected by breakwaters and sits on the leeward south-west coast, so it escapes most of the trade wind that hammers the south-east. On a day when El Médano is unusable for swimming, Las Vistas is frequently flat.

Facilities and access

Imported golden sand, lifeguards in season, sun beds, showers, accessible ramps and a promenade with restaurants that runs into Los Cristianos harbour. It is served by local buses and there is paid parking nearby, which fills fast at midday.

Best time of day

Mornings are quieter and the water is usually at its calmest; afternoons bring more wind and more people. In winter the south coast keeps reliable sun when the north is under cloud.
